CLARINS INSTANT LIGHT NATURAL LIP PERFECTOR

Despite my obsession with lip products, I have never been big on lip gloss. I love the shine, but don't care much for the thick and sticky texture a lot of glosses seem to have. So when I first spotted the Natural Lip Perfectors from Clarins I really wasn't too interested, and the original 3 shades that were released are way too sheer for my liking. But after reading post after post after post (and so many more) about how amazing this range is, I finally gave in - and I'm so glad I did.

I'm somewhat reluctant to call these lip glosses, because whenever I think of a gloss all I see is something heavy and sticky - and these lip perfecters are completely opposite to that. The gel formula feels super smooth and lightweight on my lips, and there is NO stickiness! None whatsoever!! Clarins Natural Lip Perfectors are surprisingly moisturising, it promises to nourish and repair, improving the appearance of your lips when used on a regular basis. It's the perfect mix of a balm and a gloss, and a total game changer for me.

#05 Candy Shimmer is just as the name suggests, it's a gorgeous candy pink that seems to hold a bit more colour than others I've seen in the line. It still applies quite sheer, but I really like the soft finish which is great for any natural everyday look. It wears beautiful on its own, but can also be added on top of a lipstick to give extra shine. The colour does not stay particularly long, but my lips feels moisturised for a good 3-4 hours after application.

I'm not a big fan of the sponge tip applicator, which can at times get messy when you overload the product by squeezing the tube too hard. There is also a strong caramel scent to the formula - I don't mind it too much but the sweetness does linger a while after application.

To sum it all up, I am now, officially a Clarins Natural Lip Perfector convert! The formula wears like a balm, whilst still giving you that shine and illusion of fuller lips like a lip gloss, but without the stickiness. The price is reasonable as well, they retail for $26 here in Australia and are about 17 pounds in the UK.

Are you a lipstick or a lipgloss kinda gal/guy? Would you give these Lip Perfectors a try? What are you thoughts on them? Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! :D
